so i met with my detailer on thurs (detailer is the person in the navy who will assign me to my next duty station) and i now think i have like a tentative plan in terms of how i want my life to go.

while im on 4 east(the floor i work on now) i want to deploy with the mercy next spring for the missionary trip. im taking a whole mess of courses in the next 9 months to make me more likeable for the deployment and by that time i will be putting on LTJG(the next rank) so i will hopefully be an easy pick. after i lever 4 east (the floor i currently work on) im going to try to transfer to labor and delivery. after doing that for about 1.5 years i will have that l&d code which i need if i want to go over seas for my next duty station...which i do. the problem here is that its very expensive to move me from the west coast all the way to europe, but its even more expensive to move a family to europe so my lack of depandants really helps me here.

after i leave san diego i want to transfer to somewhere in eurpoe, but hopefully to italy, my other option will in spain which is really not bad at all...i could go over seas to guam/japan but i dont want to do that. i will hopefully be in italy and that will be 2 years.

after i leave italy i will try to get stationed on the east coast in bethesda (MD) or maybe as a recruiter somewhere, where i will apply for DUINS (they pay me my salary, my housing allowance, and my tuition for my masters AND i dont have to work..just go to school, and i pay them back with 4 years more service....awesome deal). by this point i will have been in the navy for roughly 14-16 years...with 4 more years owed...so i will end up making this a carrer. i can retire from the navy after 20 years service with 1/2 my salary at the rank i am...aka i can retire when im 41.

hopefully at some point in there i will meet a guy, fall in love, get married and make a few babies. and honestly if that doesnt happen i will just adopt a kid when i retire!

as you all know harry came out this morning at midnight. after michele's party we got there it was like 11:15 and we really werent close online but my braclete let me cut most of the line which is pretty sweet. even with the bracelet i was thinking that i wouldnt get to buy a book until like 1:45. so were waiting and some like dirt bags are like driving by the line trying to spoil it, then this car drives up and stops in front of betsy noelle and i. the kid takes a book out and like hols it out. so betsy walks up and is like are you serious and he is like yeah yeah take it take it. so she took it and all our mouths are dropped and so noelle is like for real. HE HANDS HER ONE THEN TOO. by this time the borders employees are coming over so im like run away guys so we are running away. THE KID JUST GAVE US 2 FREE HARRY BOOKS AND ITS WAS LIKE 12:10. flippin sweet!

my first instinct was the the borders peeps would yell at us so i was like come on lets go come on. then betsy like to give me a heart attack and says what if its not the real thing when we are like 10 feet from my car. i had a panic attack. noelle was like yeah it might not be so noelle, with all her spunk, walks up to some girl who just came out of borders with the book and says excuse me i was wondering if i could compare theses books and like tells her. so noelle opened to a random page which happened to be 102 and reads like a sentence from the borders book then from the free one and says...ITS REAL. so im like ohh goood thank heavens! so we get in the car with the free books and are like omg this is so awesome!!!!

noelle gave me the one that was handed to her cause she doesnt read them and cause she is supa sweet. betsy offered to give her the copy that is being mailed to her today but noelle was like no no just return it i dont care. cause she is supa awesome!

oh yeah and michele was with us but wasnt feeling well and had to wake up early so she wanted to get the stuff from my car cause katie was picking her up. so were walking and i found 5 bucks on the ground. i said "oo its my lucky day, maybe i will win a raffle to get the book sooner" and i fucking did!!!

i just wanna brag about my first aid skills for a hot minute!

i was driving home in a car full of nursing girls and this man collapsed in the middle of the road and began to have a seziure. so i was like ok girls im gonna pull over and see whats going on and they were all like yeahhh cool. so i go over and his seziure was done but he was pretty banged up from the fall and so im trying to find out if he has a seviure disorder or any kinda health problems and he is out of it cause he just had a seziure and nat (my best bud here who has epielpsy) said that you have an extreme head ache and you feel like your brains have been scrambled and you are so tired. so he is like tired and embrassed so im trying to make sure he stays on the ground and doesnt move cause you know....he could have had something else going on to make him have a seziure since he had no medical bracelet saying he has a medical problem. so he isnt really making words when he is talking and it took about 10 mins for the ambulance to come and i finally found out his name but he still wasnt answering me

i just got reallllly upset....i thought i was doing pertty well in my nursing classes and i thought i was gonna get a 3 in both of them. well i just looked over my tests and the averages for both classes comes out to a 78 right now. my one class has other stuff so i should still get a 3 in that class i hope, but the other is based on only the exams. i need to get an 85 on the test i have on monday to bring my grade up to an 80 so that i can get a 3. i really really hope i can do it cause im going to be sooo dissapoited in myself if i dont, and i was really hoping to make the deans list but if i dont get 3's in both of them i wont make it and that upsets me too :(

nursing home

the last 4 weeks i have been visiting this one resident in a nursing home for a class. she is really sweet and i got along with her and she was easy to talk to but i always hated going just because i felt a bit awkward and i thought of it as a hassel. well today was the last day that i was required to go so i sat and played bingo with her, and i helped her change her calanders and such. when i was ready to leave i told her that this was my last visit and i wont be coming back to visit her and she was like

"oh, well i will miss these visit alot, and i will miss you. i wish you the best of luck in nursing. i want you to take one of my stuffed animals cause i have so many and i want you to remember me."

i said something along the lines of i wish her the best of luck and i was a huge pleasure meeting her and that im thankful that she let me come visit.

but im kinda sad lol....i didnt think i would be. i think i might go back and suprise visit her some time around thanksgiving or christmas.
